MAJOR GOOD LUCK to kimi, tats, and soul on this day. I hope everything goes seamlessly and that you out shine anyone else in your category and the others as well.
I am sure we are all rooting for you and hope that you get a big chunk of change for things so life will return to a semblance of normal for you all :)
BEST WISHES!!!
I am starting to get nervous now. As of this Friday my last drill weekend will start. As of next monday I am out of the Military for good. Six full years, and I'll be no more a soldier... *sigh*
It is strange, a chapter in my life will be closing. I kind of miss it already. It is one of those things I would never have traded for something else. I actually do enjoy doing some military duty. There is a lot of crap out there though. But that can be found in any job. The only problem with that, is most other jobs allow you to quit. I couldn't and thus I have to quit this way.
I guess if offered, I would of done another 4 to 6 years easily. If I was in better shape, I probably would of looked harder for a new home. But even with all that, right now is not the time for me to re-enlist. I am doing something more important in my life, school.
So, here I am. Going to Work, School, and trying to fit the Military into it. Well something had to go, and I am happy, yet sad to say it is the Military. In my time before moving to California, the Military was the only bright shining spot in my life. Why? Because it provided a constant and steady supply of money. I was earning very little and one weekend in the Army was a full week at my normal job. Plus, it was during normal, daylight hours. So, to say it all... I had a very good 4 out of 6 years of duty. But only in the past 2 terrible years, they have fullfilled their obligation on my enlistment. So even then, it has not been a total loss.
So for the three days I'll be gone this weekend. I will also be gone the following weekend, to visit a close friend in Utah. I don't know why I am ranting, or spouting off stuff... But this felt like the best place.
